I installed Plasma as default desktop on VirtualBox, but it doesn't start, and the screen is going black. Where should i start from troubleshooting the problem?

You use a login manager or startx? What /var/log/Xorg.0.log file says?

Is the screen completely black, or do you see a mouse cursor?

Do you use arch (stable) or ~arch?

Anything in /var/log/messages or dmesg?

this is weird, i reverted to snapshot before switching to 17.1 profile from 17.0, did a whole process again of switching to 17.1 and reinstalled plasma - the same problem - black screen...

when, i again returned to snapshot before switching to 17.1,installed plasma on 17.0 - now it works perfectly. switched again to 17.1 - still works....
