Hi,
I'm having some problems with my internet, with which I would very much appreciate some help. I am not sure if this is one problem or several, but to not leave out any details which might be helpful to diagnose the problem, I will include it all here.
When I try to connect to the wifi, nmtui-connect tells me that

However, the password is already filled out. Opening nmtui-edit, and pressing "Show password", I can see that the password is the correct one (I have tried opening nm-applet to see if I can get additional information, however it doesn't start -- the terminal doesn't return any error, and the program doesn't crash, but no gui application appears).
For this reason, I have been using a mobile phone connected to the local network and connected via USB for internet. However, after starting tethering (connecting an ethernet cable has the same effect) Xorg stops being able to open new windows. Trying to do so gives the error

If I log out of my desktop session, the dm restarts and Xorg works again, as does the tethering (or ethernet). However, I still can not use the internal wifi (see above).

This problem does not appear to be kernel-specific, since it has persisted kernel upgrades.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
Edit: Apparently my dmesg output was too long, so the post was cut off. I've nor removed the beginning of it, so that it starts at the point where wifi-errors are first mentioned.

| Sounds too weird to be a single problem, but does adding "-nolisten tcp" to Xorg's command line help? |

Ant P., I have never passed arguments to Xorg before (that I remember). However, the file /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc already contains -nolisten tcp:

So I assume the answer is that it didn't help, unless I am misunderstanding something.
Hu,
Before X stops working, hostname -f returns localhost. However, both when X doesn't work and when it works again, it curiously returns hostname: Unknown host.

| Changing the hostname after the X11 authentication cookies have been generated is usually a bad idea. You should fix the initial name of your machine not to be localhost, and reconfigure your DHCP client not to change your hostname. If you need help with the latter, tell us which DHCP client you use. |
