|
|
Hi.
I want to use gentoo for my 3d printing, and I was trying to install slic3r. It is masked, and requires a number of keyword changes, but it did emerge without too much trouble.
The problem I'm running into is that when I type "slic3r.pl" at the command prompt, I get the following:
Code: | Fatal Error: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected.
The library used 3.0 (wchar_t,compiler with C++ ABI 1009,wx containers,compatible with 2.8),
and your program used 3.0 (wchar_t,compiler with C++ ABI 1010,wx containers,compatible with 2.8).

My system is 100% up to date and consistent as of this moment. I emerged slic3r-1.2.9-r2, which is current right now. I have run revdep-rebuild, and no problems were found. I looked at the ebuild for slic3r, and recompiled every dependency listed in it. recompiled everything on my system was installed with the letters "wx" in the name. I re-emerged dev-libs/libsigc++ (because it looks like a c++ mismatch, and I don't see any other packages installed that have c++ in the name). I have searched this forum, and google, and cannot find anything of use... perhaps if I were a C or perl programmer... but alas, I am not.
My environment:
Code: | emerge --info

Yeah, seems like a problem with old libs leftover from wxGTK-2.8.
If emerge @preserved-rebuild dosn't help it might be worth checking to make sure there are no old libs left over from wxGTK-2.8. |

Moved from Unsupported Software to Portage & Programming since the package is in the tree and therefore supported. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

Interesting... I swear I tried that... it was one of the first things I did... but I did it again, and now it works.
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I get my printer tomorrow. Now I'll be able to print!
