|
|
Hi, I tried to downgrade plasma and I deleted my package.keywords assuming that the system will fix itself.
The process turned out to be more complicated than I thought, so I decided to revert the change. I unmasked the latest plasma-meta and accepted all the proposed keywords. There were some conflicts which I was able to bypass using `--backtrack=30`.
Now when I run `emerge --update --deep --newuse @world` I get a bunch of conflict errors, which I can always bypass using `--backtrack 30`. Then it tells me that the system is up to date.
I uploaded the log which shows conflict errors here:
https://bpaste.net/show/f13ee5ed213b
And here's my emerge --info:
http://bpaste.net/show/73a87e97eac1
I reviewed the Troubleshooting section on Gentoo wiki, but upgrading packages manually did not help since I already have the higher version installed.
At this point I would be happy to get system back in working order even if it means rebuilding every package in the system. |

I'm assuming I did that when I was offered to make changes to package.keywords when I reinstalled plasma-meta.
Here's what my package.keywords looks like now: http://bpaste.net/show/0f4089b0f16f
I'm also using desktop/plasma profile:
Code: |
Current /etc/portage/make.profile symlink:
default/linux/amd64/17.0/desktop/plasma

You assume too much. (and I'm certainly not looking through a 100+ lines keywords file when there is a ready solution available)
I would also recommend to emerge --sync so you don't spend unnecessary cpu time on old KDE Plasma 5.12.1. |
