|
|
Hello,
as a Thinkpad user I've come greatly appreciate the convenience that tlp offers in other distros for power management related things.
However considering there isn't an ebuild available from the gentoo packages it seems like its not officially supported by gentoo, is there a reason for that (other than possibly "there hasn't been any demand for it")?
I know the homepage describes a way to install it on gentoo but I'd very much prefer to have it available as an offical ebuild together with the rest of my installed software. |

I'm not sure where official support is on this, but there is a bug for it (Bug 417185). Late last year several individuals posted about helping with maintaining the package, but that's all. You could check on IRC to see if anyone has any current details. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

@pjp: thanks for the info and the link, then I guess I'll ask around in IRC when I get to it.
@fedeliallalinea: thanks but it doesn't look like that build has been maintained since there have been a couple of version updates since then (also if possible I'd prefer to stick with just the official repository). |
