i just want to draw something like this [url]http://patorjk.com/software/taag/#p=display&f=Graffiti&t=gentoo%20linux [/url] in the /etc/issue file but when booting it look like this

__ .__ .__
____ ____ ____ _/ |_ ____ ____ | | |__| ____ __ __ ___ ___
/ ___\ _/ __ \ / \ \ __\ / _ \ / _ \ | | | | / \ | | \\ \/ /
/ /_/ >\ ___/ | | \ | | ( <_> )( <_> ) | |__| || | \| | / > <
\___ / \___ >|___| / |__| \____/ \____/ |____/|__||___| /|____/ /__/\_ \
/_____/ \/ \/ \/ \/

i read that The text in the /etc/issue file (or other) and the login prompt are always output with
7-bit characters and space parity. i dont know very much waht does mean
how can solve this?

Code:

                           __                    .__   .__
   ____    ____    ____  _/  |_   ____    ____   |  |  |__|  ____   __ __ ___  ___
  / ___\ _/ __ \  /    \ \   __\ /  _ \  /  _ \  |  |  |  | /    \ |  |  \\  \/  /
 / /_/  >\  ___/ |   |  \ |  |  (  <_> )(  <_> ) |  |__|  ||   |  \|  |  / >    <
 \___  /  \___  >|___|  / |__|   \____/  \____/  |____/|__||___|  /|____/ /__/\_ \
/_____/       \/      \/                                        \/              \/

Looks okay to me as long as you use a fixed width font. In bbcode you can use "code" tag.

As for your /etc/issue file how are you cutting and pasting into the file? Are the spaces being dumped in as ASCII(32) spaces?

Another thing that might be the ANSI codes to colorize. I don't know if you added them separately or not, but these too need to be addressed.
The ANSI sequences do not go through webpages easily. What exactly is the problem you're seeing, as I do not use urxvt.

If you see lots of funny things like "[3;5m" these are the ANSI sequences and the escape code is not being transferred properly.

BTW one of the old /etc/issues that I'm still using, stripped of the ANSI sequences, looks like this:
Code:
                                           .
     .vir.                                d$b
  .d$$$$$$b.    .cd$$b.     .d$$b.   d$$$$$$$$$$$b  .d$$b.      .d$$b.
  $$$$( )$$$b d$$$()$$$.   d$$$$$$$b Q$$$$$$$P$$$P.$$$$$$$b.  .$$$$$$$b.
  Q$$$$$$$$$$B$$$$$$$$P"  d$$$PQ$$$$b.   $$$$.   .$$$P' `$$$ .$$$P' `$$$
    "$$$$$$$P Q$$$$$$$b  d$$$P   Q$$$$b  $$$$b   $$$$b..d$$$ $$$$b..d$$$
   d$$$$$$P"   "$$$$$$$$ Q$$$     Q$$$$  $$$$$   `Q$$$$$$$P  `Q$$$$$$$p
  $$$$$$$P       `"""""   ""        ""   Q$$$P     "Q$$$P"     "Q$$$P"
  `Q$$P"                                  """

Of course it needs to be fuchsia or whatever is closest to violet :D
