I've wondered why something like this hadn't yet been created (or at least hadn't achieved popularity). Tablets appear woefully inept and pen-like stylus input.

The reMarkable E Ink Tablet Is Way Too Good For Its Software (and Price)

In the right circumstances, the pen on paper feel of the reMarkable tablet is absolutely perfect. When doodling, sketching, or writing in cursive, there is no noticeable lag between your physical pen strokes and what appears on screen. Unfortunately, I can barely remember how to write in cursive, and I’ve found that my preferred style of all-caps printing penmanship (if you can even call it that) seems to tax the reMarkable tablet’s 1GHz ARM A9 processor.

I really want one, but the price. And the apparent performance when printing is concerning. I might look for more reviews.

This with killer Evernote support, and Email/Calendar/Address book e.g. outlook would be great...almost worth the $600 asking price.

the Wi-Fi-connected device works alongside a desktop client and a proprietary cloud service to wirelessly transfer PDF and epub files and even back up your own notes and doodles. The setup process is beyond easy (although you’ll need to create yet another online account)
Unless they fix their thinking, it's Game Over as far as I'm concerned. I'm never going to use their cloud service or set up an account. A shame, too, because it otherwise looks like a "Killer App" (particularly an improved model refresh).

I bought a Kobo a couple of years ago and still haven't used it because it requires an email account. Prior to that I returned two different versions of Nook for similar reasons. I'll eventually probably set up the Kobo with a trash account using tor or something, but then again, I haven't yet.
