Hello,
I installed openarena with the following command:
Code: | emerge --ask openarena |
and everything went drinking.
When I tried to launch it (as a utene belonging to the wheel group) it gave me the following error:
I can not open the file, permission denied.
Then as root I gave the following command:
Code: | chmod + x / usr / games / bin / openarena |
and
Code: | chmod + x / usr / games / bin / openarena-ded |
and the problem of permissions has been solved.
When I ran the command again as a user wheel, the result was this:
Code: | r @ s_k550 ~ $ openarena
ioq3 + or 1.36 linux-x86_64 Feb 3 2018
----- FS_Startup -----
Current search path:
/home/rino//.openarena/baseoa
/ Usr / share / games / openarena / baseoa

0 files in pk3 files
Could not load default.cfg
sh: zenity: command not found

Does anyone have any advice?
Thank you so much,

| No. You applied a temporary and incorrect workaround, which will be reverted when next you reinstall or upgrade the package. As a games package, openarena has permissions that require would-be players to be in the games group. You should place your user in that group, rather than changing the permissions on the installed files. (If you insist on changing the permissions, change them in the ebuild so that they persist on reinstall.) sprino wrote: | When I ran the command again as a user wheel, the result was this: Code: | r @ s_k550 ~ $ openarena

| Based on the name, this package probably requires gnome-extra/zenity. If installing this package helps, please file a bug to have gnome-extra/zenity added to RDEPEND for games-fps/openarena. |

Of course,
openarena not part but I think the problem is mine, the problem of pk3 file has been solved.
With this command:
Code: | gpasswd -a user games |
I added the user to the games group.
I installed zenity with the command:
Code: | emerge --ask zenity |
I launched openarena and the result was this (open windows):
[*]Couldn't load default.cfg. See /home/rino//.openarena/baseoa/crashlog.txt for details.

I think the problem is mine because I installed the system recently and no I still have x configured, I would like to fix the video as the last thing, after making a img of the working system, because the part on my notebook creates many problems.
