I just noticed that I no longer get an .xsession-errors file. I'm running KDE5 and recently switched to elogind but still using openrc.

One of the user accounts I use has a file from Feb 7 2017 but that seems to be the last one.

I guess there is a new logging scheme somewhere, does anyone know what that would be? How do I get to see errors now?

You are running Plasma-5, but the application responsible for the location of .xsession-errors is your display manager, probably sddm.

The paths for sddm are found in /etc/sddm.conf:
Code:
[Wayland]
...
SessionLogFile=.local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log

[X11]
...
SessionLogFile=.local/share/sddm/xorg-session.log
