You can see through my post history and see that most is for X11. I used Wayland, but dropped it because it was to bloated: it used way too much RAM and excessive CPU usage. Bye Wayland, you suck, I'm back to using a 30-year-old program. But the dinosaur program has its issues.

I typed startx, Xorg log: https://paste.pound-python.org/show/BzleMlvaTMzbyn4xVSTT/

My user's groups: tty wheel audio video games input dell00

lspci -nnk: https://paste.pound-python.org/show/7mHJVRU5ohmBHIeSNEDK/

Kernel config: https://paste.pound-python.org/show/7rSeIz5DuUUoVVshYLyY/

I followed info on the non-root gentoo wiki. Errors. I even tried the alternative method--errors.

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: SOLVED by adding suid USE flag to x11-base/xorg-server. I know this is a security issue. Is there a workaround for this?

How can a protocol be bloated? If anything, blame the compositor.

I refuse to waste many hours from my life just to set up systemd.

My compositor was SwayWM.
