Hi -
I know I saw here somewhere a few days ago some threads about enabliing a user to do a shutdown/reboot from within gnome menu. I found the one(s) that explain what needs to be changed but can't find the one(s)? dealing with it not really working very well (gentoo1.4, gnome2.4).
What happens is I can get user to shutdown/reboot from gnome menu but typically what happens is:
1. Gnome fades very slowly/not smoothly when bringing up "shutdown/reboot" user menu;
2. When gnome exits, sometimes I end up back at login screen, or it skips that and drops me to the non-X login. And it may or may not proceed from there to shutdown/reboot. If I just logout of gnome and get back to login splash screen, neither shutwdown or reboot have any problems.
Anyone know how to fix these two things?
