Elan Touch-pad jumps around, the sensitivity just does not feel comfortable.

the touch pad works, however the cursor seems jumpy, the touch pad moves glitchy.
xiniput set-prop works:

It may take some trial and error, but most of the Synaptics documentation applies still even though it's Elantech.

i think xfce has the same settings dialogs as mate/gnome2, i slide accel and sensitivity all the way to the left, disable edge scrolling (in favour of two finger scroll), and disable touchpad clicks. do those help at all?
