I've been having a similar issue. I'm not sure that I've done anything in particular recently that should have affected KDE, although I have added ibus to my USE flags since the last time qtgui was installed.

fedeliallalinea, what do you mean by "gold linker?"

Here's info from my end:

Excerpt from build.log (full build.log here):
Code:
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/6.4.0/../../../../lib64/libQt5Core.so:(*IND*+0x0): multip
le definition of `__bss_start'
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/6.4.0/../../../../lib64/libQt5Core.so:(*IND*+0x0): multip
le definition of `__bss_start'
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/6.4.0/../../../../lib64/libQt5Core.so:(*IND*+0x0): multiple definition of `_edata'
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/6.4.0/../../../../lib64/libQt5Core.so:(*IND*+0x0): multiple definition of `_edata'
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/6.4.0/../../../../lib64/libQt5Core.so:(*IND*+0x0): multiple definition of `_end'
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/6.4.0/../../../../lib64/libQt5Core.so:(*IND*+0x0): multiple definition of `_end'

I've attached the output from emerge --info "=dev-qt/qtgui-5.7.1-r1".

The Tip from https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-8159812.html#8159812 should probably help.

Gotcha. Haven't messed around with alternative linkers very much.

Looks like Josef.95's tip fixed it for me. At the very least I've gotten well past qtgui at this point.

Thanks!

You can try to rebuild only dev-qt/qtcore:5

Ah, thanks, but it's a little late for me as the build has just got past qtgui using the command from that other thread.
