I was updating system and pulseaudio as well, in portage elog it showed up this message, about the buffer size for audio minimum size allocation:
WARN: pretend
A preallocated buffer-size of 2048 (kB) or higher is recommended for the HD-audio driver!
CONFIG_SND_HDA_PREALLOC_SIZE=64
Does anyone know why this is recommended for the HD-audio? Since everything may be working ok already don't want to go changing the kernel for that but I guess it couldn't hurt to take that suggestion...or could it be a pointless one from a kernel or multimedia standpoint? |

the hardware/software is designed for 2MB+ buffer, it may not be an issue in all use cases, but If you get any stuttering or anything, I'd go there first. |
