I had used Firefox-bin for a while - In the beginning, it worked ok but after some time it became very slow - Do not know why?!...
So now installed Seamonkey-bin (see below), and it works ok but can not add any add-ons, like: dictionary etc.
If I go into: Tools>Add-onns Manager I get an empty page with no add-ons to choose.
May be something is missing and need to be installed?
Code:
[I] www-client/seamonkey-bin
     Available versions:  2.48^ms ~2.49.1_rc2^ms {+ffmpeg +pulseaudio startup-notification L10N="cs de en-GB es-AR es-ES fr hu it ja lt nl pl pt-PT ru sk sv zh-CN zh-TW"}
     Installed versions:  2.48^ms(08:39:21 PM 12/13/2017)(startup-notification L10N="-cs -de -en-GB -es-AR -es-ES -fr -hu -it -ja -lt -nl -pl -pt-PT -ru -sk -sv -zh-CN -zh-TW")

Greetings,

Well, I am not sure as to why the add-ons page is showing up blank for you. :?

Now, I notice you are using the binary version of Seamonkey, which is version 2.49.1_rc2 as of this writing, but the latest source version of Seamonkey is 2.49.5.0_p0, which I have installed and it shows a number of add-ons, including Enigmail and Lightning (which I think it picked up from my Thunderbird install. I know Seamonkey shares code with Thunderbird.)

And, that might be a path to check; Do you have Thunderbird installed, and if so, what add-ons do you have in it?

HTH.

Moved from Multimedia to Desktop Environments. Fits better here as seamonkey is a web browser.

What happens when you try to add an extension, is there any error?

Is there any difference if you create a new profile using

Code:
seamonkey --ProfileManager --new-instance

Note that in your case, it is probably seamonkey-bin.
