Hi Guys

I am struggling to update R package from R 3.2.2 to R 3.4 because the R in gentoo is pretty old and some package just can not install

Is there anyone who knows how to do it quick ?

Thanks

cool
I have put
Code:
 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64"
in the /etc/portage/make.conf
Then install R to upgrade.
Planning to remove the testing mode after it has installed the stuff 8)

It's more safe run
Code:
# emerge -uD =dev-lang/R-3.4.1

and portage tell you what need to be unmask

If you have put ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" and then you removed from make.conf is normal.
You should /etc/portage/package.use for keep unstable version of R

package.use or package.accept_keywords? As I read this thread, OP wants to use the testing version with his normal USE flags, rather than the stable version with special USE flags.
