PS:

Strange... patch isn't applied.

Code:
fulgurance@MSI-GS73VR-6RF /usr/portage/games-emulation/dolphin $ sudo ebuild dolphin-5.0.ebuild clean prepare
 * dolphin-5.0.zip SHA256 SHA512 WHIRLPOOL size ;-) ...                    [ ok ]
 * checking ebuild checksums ;-) ...                                       [ ok ]
 * checking miscfile checksums ;-) ...                                     [ ok ]
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking dolphin-5.0.zip to /var/tmp/portage/games-emulation/dolphin-5.0/work
>>> Source unpacked in /var/tmp/portage/games-emulation/dolphin-5.0/work
>>> Preparing source in /var/tmp/portage/games-emulation/dolphin-5.0/work/dolphin-5.0 ...
 * Looking in Languages/po/ for new locales ...                            [ ok ]
>>> Source prepared.
fulgurance@MSI-GS73VR-6RF /usr/portage/games-emulation/dolphin $ ls /etc/portage/patches/games-emulation/dolphin-5.0
dolphin-5.0-gcc-6.2-build-fix.patch

You create file /etc/portage/bashrc?
This because dolphin using EAPI 5 and epatch_user function is not mandatory

FYI, If you switched to 17.0 profile and and have PIE enabled in gcc, Dolphin 5.0 won't work because PIE code breaks Dolphin's JIT compiler. Dolphin worked fine for me before the profile switch, but now I get runtime errors and games won't launch. The 9999 build might work but I haven't tried it yet.

There is a workaround for this problem

Thanks, works perfect now. I'll check the bug reports more thoroughly from now on.
