Hm, no idea with equery,
but I think app-portage/eix should here work fine.
try
Code:
eix --installed-from-overlay dantrell

Or with qlist and grep
Code:
$ qlist -IRv | grep dantrell

There's several tips on an older topic too.

You should change the package manager: try pkgcore. You can perform various operations with ease, it's impressive!

Q Applets (qlist, qdepends, ...) are simple but have bugs (misleading results). eix is too sophisticated ("complicated"). I dislike the interface of equery.

pkgcore combines the diversity, power and simplicity of these tools.

Code:
pquery --no-version --repo dantrell --pkgset world
# or pquery -n -r dantrell --pkgset world

N.B: pkgcore can be used safely with an existing installation. Sadly, the software is not under active development and some features are missing.

Edit: fixed a "mistake": TARGET is optional.

helecho.
