There is nice app for LG monitors on Windows to allow switching monitor profiles from software. ( it uses dcc/ci protocol)
I tried it under linux by checking i2c
I dumped all registers under 2 different monitor profiles, compared them... and they are the same. There is not much data maybe 1k total, rest are marked as XX - whatever that means. I used diff to compare those.
Any clue how to do that ?
I think such app is great, eg it could detect if smplayer or chromium is in full screen mode then switch to cinema profile.
EDIT: btw when playing around I found nice combo-wombo for filling X Monitor display in xorg.conf, it gives modelines too

For me it filled options like:
DisplaySize 600 340
Gamma 2.20
Which I didnt even knew they exist.
They are from package read-edid. _________________ Sent from Windows |
