|
|
Hi everyone
i have done a fresh reinstall of my system from scratch (with all my backup configfiles )
but now my gnome3 with my user is not able to shutdown/reboot with the menu entry in gdm or gnome-session panel ?
I try to find an explicit solution on the web but nothing is clear.
Can someone tell me where is located the config file or the procedure to show again theses menu options ?
thanks

You might be lacking polkit support... _________________ | Intel Core i7 920. | Intel DX58SO Extreme. |

I think there can be a few reasons to this. Are you using consolekit or elogind and how recent is your gnome?
Paste the output of following commands to get started on debugging the problem:
Code: |
emerge -pv gnome-shell gdm
rc-status
rc-update
|
Recent elogind services must be started in boot runlevel, and if you are using elogind, consolekit can not be installed in the same system (and vice versa) and gdm use flags must be appropriate. |
