On a new installation I want a no-multilib gnome systemd system. question is should I start with the no-multilib stage or the systemd stage.
Thanks for advice. |

Probably easier to start with no-multilib and migrate to systemd. When I migrated an install to systemd, though it would be hard to do remotely, it wasn't too bad. Do the migration early on, so you can throw it away if you don't like it or it goes horribly wrong :)
I've always had a multilib system however. I don't think it should matter however. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

I think you are correct. The handbook, later in the install, refers to installing systemd.
Thanks. |

It doesn't matter. Seriously. Either way you will set your profile and USE="" and emerge will clean out the unwanted stuff and pull in the wanted stuff.
I recommend doing an emerge -e system after you reboot the first time in any case. _________________ First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
Apologies if I take a while to respond. I'm currently working on the dematerialization circuit for my blue box. |
