Does anyone know what the page_log for CUPS is meant for, and if it is deprecated? The only other thing I can think of is that those messages maybe were merged into the access_log instead...any ideas?
Code: | [MYMACHINE] /var/log/cups # ls -oha
total 896K
drwxr-xr-x 2 root 4.0K Sep 20 15:39 .
drwxr-xr-x 19 root 4.0K Oct 20 02:47 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 0 Sep 20 15:39 .keep_net-print_cups-0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 117K Oct 20 03:02 access_log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 760K Oct 20 00:50 error_log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 0 Dec 21 2016 page_log

Interesting. Seems the current default cupsd.conf that we get has PageLogFormat disabled so the file is still there, but no longer used. I think in the past it had been logging there.
I suppose that's what you get when one -1's (in etc-update)... _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

Quote: | cupsd( 8 ) normally maintains three log files: access_log to track requests that are submitted to the scheduler, error_log to track progress and errors, and page_log to track pages that are printed. Configuration directives in cupsd.conf(5) and cups-files.conf(5) control what information is logged and where it is stored. |
