I come from successfully installing and configuring splashutils and fbcondecor.

But I have a little issue. There are two Monitors attached on this gentoo box, one with max. resolution 1980x1050 and one with max. 1280x1024.

The maximum resolution of framebuffer is limited to 1280x1024, as long as both monitors are attached. Tried everything but could not increase the resolution. Then I tried with disconnected 1280x1024 monitor and only then framebuffer resolution was set to 1980x1050.

Is there a possibility to have high resolution with both of these monitors attached ? Console Decoration looking ugly at the mainscreen with limit to 1280x1024. It does not fill the whole screen in console mode.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but...
kmscon handles dual head propely. Not sure about decorating... :|

Had the same problem a long time ago and never found a good solution. It's possible to disable one screen in KMS using boot params, but I've never figured out how to re-enable it for X.

Zucca, Problem is, that as long as a monitor with max resolution 1280x1024 is attached, on the mainscreen the console decoration and bootscreen are also limited to 1280x1024.

See http://picpaste.com/Screen-lRAHERvL.jpg

Its not a big issue, but would be nice if one could have the whole screen decorated.
