Need some help in installing gentoo with systemd. I've just compiled a kernel with systemd support, what are the next steps for me? To be honest, I just got a little bit lost in all the guides in the wiki, meaning that I can't figure out what to do first (do I configure some systemd related things https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Systemd first or just continue following the amd64 handbook instructions, and in the end configure everything related to systemd?). Is it by any means crucial? |

Well this is a very open ended question...
How far did you get on your install? How are you planning to install it?
There are many ways to install it. You can either install it after you get your initial install going, or you can cheat and use the systemd stage3 which sets things up for you (details on the Gnome 3 page). Key thing to keep in mind is to make sure you follow the step about your bootloader to include "init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd" to ensure it starts running. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
