Hello there,

Since a few days now, glsa-check -l reports the GLSA 201709-02 as affecting my system even if I already emerged binutils-2.28.1

I'm not that worried about the vuln (binutils 2.29 has many other ones as well) but would like to understand why glsa-check still reports it as vulnerable even if the "fix" has been applied ?

Have a good day !

- Myu

sys-devel/binutils is a slotted package, you removed old version?
Check with
Code:
$ qlist -Iv sys-devel/binutils

You were spot on fedeliallalinea, I did not removed the previous version !

Code:
emerge --unmerge =sys-devel/binutils-2.28-r2
did the trick

I learned something, thank you very much ! :)
