crossdev targeting MinGW-w64 - experience

Hi all,

my goal is to cross-compile claws-mail for Windows 64bit. Usually, I would use MXE (https://mxe.cc), since it is distro-independent. But its packages got quite outdated. Then, Gentoo is the second-best choice.

Since crossdev did not do so well bootstrapping out-of-the-box, I scraped together some information from Gentoo Wiki, Bugzilla and own experience. Its quite rough but good for another building block for whoever want to tinker with crossdev targeting MinGW. See:
