Whenever i try to connect to my vpn service i get this message. It lets me enter my username and password but i get this error. It wont work at all unless I comment out keysize in the opvn file but thats the only file with a # character in it. Everything was working find until i rebooted my machine after installing openvpn. Does anyone have any suggestions or would more error messages be necessary?

When in doubt, show an error message instead of describing it. From what you have provided so far, this seems like a straightforward case of using an obsolete certificate with an insecure hash function. Newer versions of software often deprecate known-broken data files. If this guess is correct, you should replace the certificate with one that uses a modern secure hash function.
