libreoffice-bin 5.2.7.2-r1 repeats recovery when open files. It only happens to files saved recently. Older files open without issue.

Anyone experience similar problem?

No, because I stopped using that software a long time ago. I have recently opted for some very alternative way by installing Microsoft Office over wine and it is going well. Oddly enough, it too has some issues with the temporary file recovery. Have you 'checked' to see if this setting could help?

Also, I assume since they are all new files that you've thought about removing the files from their location in the filesystem to see if the problem could go away simply by doing that perhaps.

Not sure if this helps, based on the version you are using...

Turns out the issue is caused by saving a file without ".odt" extension. Renaming a file to <file name>.odt fixed problem.
