Hi,

I've bought a new notebook and it came with an US Keyboard.
I would like to use my system in English and I need to use the "ç" because I'm a Portuguese speaker.

Is there any way to force Gnome or X to use " ' " + " c " instead "ALT_GR" + " c " to produce the " ç " sign?

The keyboard behaves as expected outside X.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if what you want can be done. However a 'c' with a cedilla typically is made using the "Compose" key (typically AltGr) and the comma (','), then pressing the letter 'c'. The compose key must be enabled from teh keyboard layout properties in Gnome, of course. Is that OK for you?

Yeah, I'm using the ALT_GT method, but I prefer to use the acute method (or "normal") ....
I'm trying to remap this somehow ...
