Running the latest stable KDE5, and using kde-apps/akregator-17.04.3 which hit stable Aug 18 2017 (replacing the old KDE4 version).
Now, whenever I'm using the internal web viewer and trying to enter text (eg adding a comment to a site) akregator will swallow some typed characters. A number of these are apparently pre-defined shortcuts, and I have managed to turn most of those off. However, there are a few keys (like the lower-case 'i' key) that I can't type in and yet don't appear to be defined as a shortcut. Has anyone else run across this and come up with a fix?
And why would someone define any of the base ASCII characters, with no modifiers, as shortcut keys anyway in an application capable of generic text entry? |
