|
|
I changed my Gentoo password after the initial installation, and since then, KDE Wallet has not been auto-unlocking on login.
I have tried changing my KDE Wallet password and rebooting, but the changes do not seem to persist once I reboot.
So, for example, if I set Evolution to start on boot, since the KDE Wallet and user passwords do not match, I am prompted for my wallet password once plasma starts, which really messes things up if I try to throw KDocker into the mix.
No idea what might help debug this so here's what I figured would based on bug reports and what's on the Gentoo Wiki's KDE page
env
/etc/pam.d/sddm
emerge --info
~/.config/kwalletrc
Installed packages w/USE flags
Let me know if there's any other information I can provide in order to get a better idea of the situation.
Thanks in advance.

So I'm starting to really realize just how bad my speed-reading habit is, and how much I miss in doing so.
Evolution uses gnome-keyring, not kwallet.
Instructions for setting up gnome-keyring auto-unlock with SDDM can be found here.
Followed the instructions and everything is working as intended now.
Note to self: Read the entire dialog before posting bugs, etc... |
