Hello All :

I installed Gentoo using pppoe without any issues. I managed to boot it up, but now when I try to start adsl, I get the following error :

couldn't set tty to ppp discipline

I've setup pppoe.conf correctly (used the same settings as when I installed). eth0 is up an running.

Any suggestions? Also, on another note, in /etc/conf.d/net, what does

iface_eth0="dhcp"

mean? I changed it to iface_eth0="ppp". Could that be it?

I figured that one out -- I ended up commented it out. Since I don't use dhcp (just pppoe).

Anyone know why it adsl-connect is giving me this error :
couldn't set tty to ppp discipline : invalid argument
