When connected to a remote xorg less GUI session (x2go-server) the logger can use emacsclient in both modes (text & graph.):
Code:
luc@xgtwpv0 ~ $  echo $DISPLAY
:75.0
luc@xgtwpv0 ~ $ emacsclient nohup.out
Waiting for Emacs...
luc@xgtwpv0 ~ $ emacsclient -c nohup.out
Waiting for Emacs...
luc@xgtwpv0 ~ $
but when this user does "su -", then root can run emacsclient in text mode, but not in graph. mode.
Code:
su -
Mot de passe :
xgtwpv0 ~ #  emacsclient nohup.out
Waiting for Emacs...
xgtwpv0 ~ # emacsclient -c nohup.out
Waiting for Emacs...
*ERROR*: Display :75.0 can’t be opened

Nevertheless root CAN run emacs in graph. mode:
Code:
xgtwpv0 ~ # [1] emacs nohup.out
xgtwpv0 ~ # emacs -c nohup.out
xgtwpv0 ~ # emacs nohup.out
xgtwpv0 ~ #

Please note there is no Xorg server or Xnest available.

Is there any way to make emacsclient works graphically?

Thks 4 your attention.
