Hi,

I wanted to use btrfs for my /usr/lib64/debug partition (10 GiB size) because it supports transparent compression.

btrfs filesystem df /usr/lib64/debug:
Data, single: total=6.01GiB, used=4.75GiB
System, single: total=32.00MiB, used=16.00KiB
Metadata, single: total=256.00MiB, used=19.36MiB
GlobalReserve, single: total=16.00MiB, used=0.00B

How can I increase "Data"? I don't need snapshotting, I want to max out the space available for data while using compression.

Don't worry about it; btrfs allocates space in 1GB chunks as-needed until it fills out whatever disk/partition it's been put on.

As you put more data in it'll add more chunks to data/system/metadata automatically

It's a bit weird, but frankly 'it's a bit weird' describes a lot of things about btrfs XD
