I have a 4k screen. I've been trying for days to find a way to change the DPI and/or the font in bspwm and the cursor size. I'm trying to merge .Xresources or .Xdefaults with
Xft.dpi: 240
Xcursor.theme: gentoo
Xcursor.size: 64
Nothing works. Plain and simple. The file is merged by sddm as I got some intentional garbage in there to report.. but that's it. Nothing is doing anything, no errors, no feedback of any sort.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here? At least some updated docs |

I too use bspwm and a 4k screen. I set dpi to 192 and cursor to left_ptr in xinirc via
Code: | xrandr --dpi 192
xsetroot -cursor_name left_ptr &
|
Have you tried using xrandr to set desired dpi? |

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately that makes no difference in bspwm.
I have a feeling this is a bspwm issue more than an X one. Setting xft, with the right font and cursor theme/size in Xresources works for urxvt for instance.
I tried the xsetroot command in bspwmrc but that also seems to be ignored by the manager.
Now I have to figure this out on Yabar.. At least the font is ok. |
