Advancemame (ex: "advmame robotron") was working without issue until I added pulseaudio to my Gentoo box. After adding pulseaudio almost all sound-using apps work: firefox, mplayer, mpv, steam games... The audio in advancemame is VERY laggy. Sound is slow even though the games run at normal speed. Some sound is literally heard more than ten seconds after it should be. I ran advmame again with -log and received things like:

Fixed.
I re-emerged advancemame with "-alsa" use flage. I also needed to remove the two references to alsa in the advamame.rc file.
Now advmame is working well again. |
