Greetings,

I have two gpus, one is booted by lightdm and I want to make use of the other.
so i wrote the below script:
Code:
#!/bin/bash -x

PORTS=(16381 16411 16301 16273)
X_PATH="$(which X)"
NEXT_X_SESSION_ID=$(ps aux | grep ${X_PATH} | grep -v grep | cut -f 2- -d '/' | tr ' ' '\n' | egrep "^:[0-9]+$" | cut -f 2 -d : | sort -n | tail -1)
NEXT_X_SESSION_ID=$((NEXT_X_SESSION_ID+1))
NEXT_VT_ID=$(ps aux | grep ${X_PATH} | grep -v grep | cut -f 2- -d '/' | tr ' ' '\n' | egrep "^vt[0-9]+$" | sed 's/^vt//g' | sort -n | tail -1)
NEXT_VT_ID=$((NEXT_VT_ID+1))
NEXT_SEAT_ID=$(dm-tool list-seats | grep "^Seat" | sort -n | tail -1 | sed 's/^Seat//g')
NEXT_SEAT_ID=$((NEXT_SEAT_ID+1))
NUM_OF_ACTIVE_X_SESSIONS=$(ps aux | grep ${X_PATH} | grep -v grep | wc -l)
NUM_OF_GPUS=$(lspci | grep -i vga | wc -l)
X_CONFIG_FILE="seat${NEXT_X_SESSION_ID}-remote_ms.conf"

if [ ${NUM_OF_ACTIVE_X_SESSIONS} -ge ${NUM_OF_GPUS} -o ! -f "/etc/X11/${X_CONFIG_FILE}" ]; then
        exit
fi

nohup ${X_PATH} :${NEXT_X_SESSION_ID} -seat seat${NEXT_SEAT_ID} -auth /var/run/lightdm/root/:${NEXT_X_SESSION_ID} -nolisten tcp vt${NEXT_VT_ID} -novtswitch -config ${X_CONFIG_FILE} &
sleep 1s
ps aux | grep ${X_PATH} | grep -v grep | grep -q " :${NEXT_X_SESSION_ID} "
if [ $? -eq 0 ]; then
        dm-tool add-local-x-seat ${NEXT_X_SESSION_ID}
        sleep 2s
        x11vnc -dontdisconnect -shared -forever -rfbport ${PORTS[$((NEXT_X_SESSION_ID-1))]} -bg -o /var/log/x11vnc-${NEXT_X_SESSION_ID}.log -display :${NEXT_X_SESSION_ID}
fi

after this, I have the second gpu running on X showing lighdm and I can access it via x11vnc.
but when I login, x11vnc crashes and I cannot access it anymore, here is the log:
Code:
05/07/2017 21:38:21 passing arg to libvncserver: -dontdisconnect
05/07/2017 21:38:21 passing arg to libvncserver: -rfbport

05/07/2017 21:38:22 X DAMAGE available on display, using it for polling hints.
05/07/2017 21:38:22   To disable this behavior use: '-noxdamage'

05/07/2017 21:38:22   Most compositing window managers like 'compiz' or 'beryl'
05/07/2017 21:38:22   cause X DAMAGE to fail, and so you may not see any screen
05/07/2017 21:38:22   updates via VNC.  Either disable 'compiz' (recommended) or
05/07/2017 21:38:22   supply the x11vnc '-noxdamage' command line option.
05/07/2017 21:38:22 X COMPOSITE available on display, using it for window polling.

05/07/2017 21:38:22 Wireframing: -wireframe mode is in effect for window moves.
05/07/2017 21:38:22   If this yields undesired behavior (poor response, painting
05/07/2017 21:38:22   errors, etc) it may be disabled:
05/07/2017 21:38:22    - use '-nowf' to disable wireframing completely.
05/07/2017 21:38:22    - use '-nowcr' to disable the Copy Rectangle after the
05/07/2017 21:38:22      moved window is released in the new position.
05/07/2017 21:38:22   Also see the -help entry for tuning parameters.
05/07/2017 21:38:22   You can press 3 Alt_L's (Left "Alt" key) in a row to
05/07/2017 21:38:22   repaint the screen, also see the -fixscreen option for
05/07/2017 21:38:22   periodic repaints.

05/07/2017 21:38:22 XFIXES available on display, resetting cursor mode
05/07/2017 21:38:22   to: '-cursor most'.
05/07/2017 21:38:22   to disable this behavior use: '-cursor arrow'

05/07/2017 21:38:22   (induced by either user keystroke or mouse input).
05/07/2017 21:38:22   If this yields undesired behavior (poor response, painting
05/07/2017 21:38:22   errors, etc) it may be disabled via: '-noscr'

Have you tried the x11vnc '-ncache' VNC client-side pixel caching feature yet?

The scheme stores pixel data offscreen on the VNC viewer side for faster
retrieval.  It should work with any VNC viewer.  Try it by running:

    x11vnc -ncache 10 ...

One can also add -ncache_cr for smooth 'copyrect' window motion.

x11-misc/x11vnc-0.9.14_p20161013::gentoo was built with the following:
USE="crypt ssl xinerama -fbcon (-libressl) -zeroconf" ABI_X86="(64)"

any ideas how can I fix it or any x11vnc like alternatives I can use?

so it turns out that something in my kde config causes x11vnc to crash, booting a kde via another user doesn't crashes the system.
