Hello everyone,

I'm in the progress of testing a new gentoo installation on a IBM xSeries server. The problem i walk into is that i want to have some sort of notification when a HDD is failing. The current setup is a RAID-1 array with two HDD's in it.

When i pull out one harddisk the kernel doesnt log a single thing and everything seems healthy :?

My question is if someone else is using this controller and experiencing the same problems? And i'm also looking for a solution :lol:

The RAID Controller is an MPT Fusion, here is my kernel config
