I signed up on the wiki last night, and am "scanning" through pages and find broken links here and there, which i edit as [Broken link]
Is this the proper way, if i cant find the proper page to relink to? (that just might have moved elsewhere)
And this thread might be in completely wrong sub-forum. |

Please leave the link, even if you flag it as broken.
It may be useful to others as a hint to the new location that the link should point to.
As an alternative, make an entry on the discussion page of the article.
The wiki has an IRC channel at irc.freenode.net #gentoo-wiki.

I certainly leave the links intact, just adding [Broken link] so subscribers of the page will get notice. Sometimes i find the proper page and simply relinking, but sometimes there are no page for the application left. Then i just mark it as broken, not removing anything.
Thanks for the tip about discussion page and/or the irc. Will do that too. |
