I was using nicotine (pysoulseek clone) for a while without problems, but yesterday, I get this:

Code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/nicotine", line 148, in ?
    app = frame.MainApp(config)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/pynicotine/gtkgui/frame.py", line 657, in __init__
    self.frame = testwin(config)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/pynicotine/gtkgui/frame.py", line 99, in __init__
    self.np = NetworkEventProcessor(self, self.callback, self.logMessage, self.SetStatusText, config)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/pynicotine/pynicotine.py", line 64, in __init__
    self.config.readConfig()
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/pynicotine/config.py", line 130, in readConfig
    sharedfiles = shelve.open(self.filename+".files.db",'n')
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/shelve.py", line 158, in open
    return DbfilenameShelf(filename, flag)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/shelve.py", line 148, in __init__
    Shelf.__init__(self, anydbm.open(filename, flag))
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/anydbm.py", line 85, in open
    mod = __import__(result)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/dbhash.py", line 5, in ?
    import bsddb
ImportError: No module named bsddb

I tried reemerging all my last emerges (including python) to the previous versions without results.

Any clues?

Thanks!

i am having this problem quite often, just delete everything except your config file in ~/.nicotine, and perhaps remove there your download queue, you will lose all your queue anyways, but i can accept this. this nicotine client is very unstable for me and i dont know why...

Thanks here too, i dont understand why pysoulseek and nicotine both stopped working all the sudden for no reason on my comp, my friends comp, and someone in #gentoos comp.

do you have new domain name in server field? or directly the IP?

slsk.org doesn't work anymore, it's not slsknet.org...
