Maitreya is an advanced GUI for Vedic ("Hindu") astrology a.k.a. Jyotisha, as well as for western astrology. I've been using it for more than one year and I am quite pleased with it. Its homepage is http://saravali.de.
For the new major release 8.0, I thought it would be appropriate to have it in the portage tree, so here are ebuilds: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=623054.
To give them a try, do as follows:
Code: | mkdir -p /usr/local/portage/app-misc/maitreya && cd /usr/local/portage/app-misc/maitreya
echo 'PORTDIR_OVERLAY="${PORTDIR_OVERLAY} /usr/local/portage"' >> /etc/portage/make.conf
wget -O maitreya-8.0_beta3.ebuild https://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=478426
wget -O maitreya-9999.ebuild https://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=478428
ebuild maitreya-8.0_beta3.ebuild digest
ebuild maitreya-9999.ebuild digest
echo "app-misc/maitreya system-wxsqlite3" >> /etc/portage/package.use
emerge -av maitreya |
USE="system-wxsqlite3" is not the default, but in my view it's recommanded.
