The IT clown made a political career because of inactive politicians.
Quote:

He complained that he was one of only eight out of more than 500 lawmakers who regularly turned up to sessions.

Tiririca said he was "ashamed" of his colleagues' behaviour and would return to being a full-time clown.

Quote:

In his eight-minute speech, he admitted that he had "not done much" during his almost seven years as a lawmaker, but he said: "At least I was here."

Tiririca has been very popular with voters. Campaigning under the slogan "It can't get any worse", he won 1.3 million votes in 2010, more than any other candidate in that election.

Looks like a case of embarassed police officers trying to avoid admitting their mistake:
http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/29/us/hate-crime-prosecution-invs/index.html

Strange that DC doesn't reference any of the previous history. There is plenty if you just do a google search. Are they too dumb to bother looking? Or do they think it gets people more riled up, and more page-views, if they post it like this?

Saudi Princes arrested.

For refusing to pay for their own utilities.

Quote:
Saudi authorities made a fresh round of arrests of royal-family members as a group of princes staged a protest at the royal palace over the non-payment of their electricity and water bills..... The royal guard arrested 11 princes objecting to a decree that ordered the state to stop paying their utilities after they refused to leave the palace in the capital, Riyadh

Princes. Royal Family members. Welfare for the Royals. Jeez, they sound like the Brits.

Isn't the royal family also The State? Seems like kicking your kid out of the house to get a job. Interesting turn. Maybe the princes are SJWs of the Saud family.

China to bar people with bad 'social credit' from planes, trains
Quote:
China said it will begin applying its so-called social credit system to flights and trains and stop people who have committed misdeeds from taking such transport for up to a year.

People who would be put on the restricted lists included those found to have committed acts like spreading false information about terrorism and causing trouble on flights, as well as those who used expired tickets or smoked on trains, according to two statements issued on the National Development and Reform Commission’s website on Friday.

How to avoid government open meeting laws. Just hold them in a Federal Courthouse.

Quote:
The unusual legal battle came after Gileno, 32, tried to bring a video camera into a meeting of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission last year. California law specifically allows the public to use recording devices at such meetings, but the commission's meeting in August was held at a federal appellate court building where filming is prohibited. The commission, a civilian panel set up to monitor the Sheriff's Department and listen to public concerns about the agency, had been gathering in different locations around the county since it began meeting in January 2017. This was the first time commissioners had met at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals building in Pasadena.
As Gileno entered the courthouse, deputy U.S. marshals told him he had to leave his camera in his car. Gileno insisted he had a right to record the meeting under the First Amendment and the state's open meetings law, known as the Brown Act, and began filming the officers.
They responded by handcuffing and detaining him for about an hour.

«Trois agents le plaquaient au sol, un autre le frappait» - "Three agents were pinning him to the ground, another was hitting him"

That victim was lucky, he survived.

This is what cops in my town and their teachers in their academy are calling "controlled strikes": 3 cops maintain a cityzen when a fourth one is beating him. Last year, on 5 dead peoples in Switzerland when they was in the hands of the cops and opposing no resistance, 3 was in my canton (like a department in France or a state in the US). Most local politicians said that's not a problem.

Some academical papers show it is a suprematist way of thinking into the swiss cops, especially within the basic cops, and it is the consequence of a racist way of thinking that is present in the establishment as a whole, not only the cops department. It is also plenty of testimonies of cops abuse. Most politicians are in complete deny. A federal law is in preparation. It will make mandatory for the cantons to implement an independent authority of lawsuits against the cops, but the canton I live just decided it's not a problem, we don't want to implement that authority before we are forced to do so by the federal law. In such conditions, we can be almost 100% sure that "authority" will be a complete joke.

Cops are the same every where. The only difference from a country to another is the price to buy them.

UK - Woman guilty of 'racist' Snap Dogg rap lyric Instagram post

Quote:
A teenager who posted rap lyrics which included racist language on Instagram has been found guilty of sending a grossly offensive message.

Chelsea Russell, 19, from Liverpool posted the lyric from Snap Dogg's I'm Trippin' to pay tribute to a boy who died in a road crash, a court heard.

Russell argued it was not offensive, but was handed a community order.

Prosecutors said her sentence was increased from a fine to a community order "as it was a hate crime".

three politicians in France are to be tried for hate speech.

Quote:
The three politicians were charged with “provocation to racial hatred” this week after the case was brought to court by the International League Against Racism and Antisemitism (Licra), Franceinfo reports.

This must be fake news. cokey has assured all of us that the EU signed a piece of paper claiming free speech.

An Austrian is given jail time for drinking the wrong brand of vino.

Quote:
An Austrian man has been locked up for glorifying Nazism after cops found multiple bottles of Hitler-branded wine at his home.
The 31-year-old, from the western state of Vorarlberg, was discovered to own several bottles of the wine and increasingly popular wine.
He was jailed for six months after being found guilty of glorifying the activities of the Nazis - a crime in countries like Austria and Germany.

European governments are sick. The government came into his home to find the bottles of Hitler wine. If you people were not such mindnumb serfs who have given up your rights, you would fight for basic freedoms. It's too late anyway, the caliphate will be even more oppressive.

Europe has never had free speech. They just don't get it. Protected regions for products, meanwhile a company could duplicate the conditions for a high end Burgundy in California and create a better 'Burgundy' than Burgundy regional wineries. But they can't call it a Burgundy style wine and sell it in Europe.

There are numerous fringe opinions which it is illegal to express at all. (Unless you're a middle eastern refugee?? Are middle eastern refugees allowed to deny the Holocaust?)

Europe sucks. The only great thing about it is the history.

So Tommy Robinson has been arrested in the UK and the judge has told the UK press they are not allowed to report this Stalinist ruling. I wonder if our UK brethren on this forum would be in jeopardy of the wrath of the Crown if they commented.

HART: Homeland Security’s Massive New Database Will Include Face Recognition, DNA, and Peoples’ “Non-Obvious Relationships”

Quote:
DHS’s “relationship pattern” records will likely be misleading or inaccurate. DHS acknowledges that these records will include “non-obvious relationships.” However, if the relationships are “non-obvious,” one has to question whether they truly exist. Instead, DHS could be seeing connections among people that are based on nothing more than “liking” the same news article, using the same foreign words, or following the same organization on social media. This is highly problematic because records like these frequently inform officer decisions to stop, search, and arrest people.

Now you have to worry about _not_ associating with the wrong crowd.
