About 90% of the time when I want to copy and paste items (either files or text in general) I have to copy the object (text or file) twice!
using kde 5
I have klipper enabled to view my transactions of previous copy and pastes and when I look at what happened I have a blank entry

For example say I copy from Kate
"This is a test"

I select the phrase, right click, select copy, go to second editor, right click, paste
the text doesn't appear - I have to redo the steps listed above for it to work

Any ideas on why this is happening?!?

Thanks

There is no KDE 5.

Are you inside a Plasma-5 Wayland session (known errata) or a regular Plasma-5 X11 session?
