An American Werewolf in London - .211

I can't recall why I added it to my queue, but wow that was pretty bad.

Dukes of Hazzard - .413
Would have given it slightly higher marks if not for the racist stereotype and related content.
Otherwise Willie Nelson didn't fit as Uncle Jesse. Probably the worst casting problem. Reynolds didn't really fit Boss Hogg either, but for a movie, it wasn't bad, though his character was too competent. Roscoe didn't really work either.

There Will Be Blood .750
I'm a bit torn on this one. I can't decide if it should be rater higher or lower, so I'll leave it there. It started really strong. After that, it continued well for a while. But the opening was key in drawing me in. The final third to quarter was unsatisfying. Although I am curious to see how well it was adapted from the book, i]Oil[/i], by Upton Sinclair. And I've never read a book after seeing the movie.

Series : 'Happy!'

It's original, it's kind of gritty but in a cinemax kind of violence. Not in your face, that is.
A lot of crazy situations and stories. Happy is actually a blue imaginary flying miniature horse.
It's gotten better by the episodes. Worth a look if you ask me.

War of the Planet of the Apes

Enjoyed it, but I got the idea that Woody Harrelson could have been put to much better use. His logic was infallible though.

Film needs more Heinlein.

Blade Runner 2049.

Bought the blu-ray, loved it. Outstanding movie and the perfect continuation of the original.

Well... I <3 5th element so home alone and a bottle of vodka why not.
Cara Delevingne cannot act (still would tho)
Cara and Dane seem to be playing a game of who is the better heroin addict.

Visually as I expected, beautiful. The director took the story too seriously rather than a bit light hearted.

Would watch again drunk
I much preferred 5th Element.

If you like Danny Trejo and bad action movies, then you'll want to check out Bad Ass. "Based on" epic beard man.

I wasn't planning to watch the sequels, but Danny Glover was added, so I may at least check out 2.

IT

Quite good for an 80's Stephen King throwback story. The new Pennywise was great.

The Shape Of Water.

Rented it on Amazon but probably shouldn't have. Not bad but couldn't see the point of it.

The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Thinks 2004.
I watched it at my home theater with PS4 True HD Dolby surround. Shameless stolen with torrent.

So, what do you get when you pick a leading man who sounds like a very stoned Keanu Reeves and looks like David Hogg, paired with a leading lady who has two dead caterpillars masquerading as eyebrows, enough CGI to permanently get George Lucas off of Viagra, a victim species of Hawaiian aliens who suffered 6,000,000 loses (yes, they actually said six million), and enough virtue signalling against the military and technology to make the most delusional Bernie bros weep in agreement?

This POS

Never once was there a feeling that the heroes might fail. Everything they did worked perfectly. The fun experienced with an adventure movie like Raiders of the Lost Ark worked because Indiana didn't always succeed the first time. He's fail, dust off and try again. This movie is the opposite, everything the heroes do just works like fekking magic.

This movie should be studied by all film students as a lesson in how to never connect with an audience.

Absolute crap.

lol @ Hawaiian aliens.

I'm curious how much of the movie was in the comic / fairly represented the comic. Obviously the movie couldn't include everything. Short of chopping it up into multiple movie plot sized pieces, only a series would have been able to do it justice. But perhaps not possible with the CGI costs.

Finished season 1 of Frasier recently. I knew it was a good show, but I'd forgotten how strongly it started in the first season. Most shows typically take a while to get going.

*JB warning - this is French ^ *

This has just appeared on Netflix, old JB being a Sci-fi fan thought he'd take a look.

Didn't know too much about it, but within one minute, French screamed at me and was only re-enforced the further I proceeded into the film, reasons :

Suggestive almost female nudity
Large hats
Expressive over the top facial expressions
And mime. Seriously, there's mime at various points.

After watching I felt the urge to take up street performance myself, face painted white and all.

Luckily a hearty breakfast containing black pudding the following morning soon kicked that into touch. Not much can withstand black pudding.
