John Wick 3 -

Complete nonsense, over the top violence and not much plot to speak of - I really enjoyed it, with the odd jar or four, a great Friday night.

Orphan - 2009
May have been mentioned before, and abused by me before....I would have if I could!
But it really is a good horror movie. It's loosley based on a czheck girl called Barbora.

Check the movie and then seach about Leena and Barnora.
Very good one!

EDIT: This just in: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7479061/Mom-claims-Ukrainian-daughter-9-adopted-really-22-year-old-dwarfism.html

It's good.

Ad Astra.

Yeah, it can't get any worse. The physics are like the manhattan project going poof. (was that all?!). The story was a cringe to make an oscar.
And it was about two hours of this. Stars? Well, let's see here : Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland and Brad Pit. What could go wrong?

Sucha sellouts for an easy buck. So, go see it! A blockbuster!

Interstellar was better. Says it all.

Joker, final trailer.

Looks good.

The SJWs hated it and called it the "most dangerous movie."

It isn't.

I watched it at a multiplex near me, the experience was bad. I wish I had waited for it to arrive in Amazon Prime.

As for the movie itself, the lat half of the movie is more compelling. Overall, okay.

Prodigy

"Who wrote this drivel?" ~ David Keanrick

This movie seems as if it was written by a 19 year old drama major after taking a single course in psychology. Every character is not only badly written, but extremely single dimensional. There was no saving grace for this total waste of time.

I consider it an insult to intelligence in general.

I award it no points, and my the god have mercy on its creators.

I was remembered of "Interstellar" when watching "ad Astra" and went out of the cinema. I didn't want to tamper my wonderfull experience with Interstellar.

Is it the samy story ? (I had to leave at the first third of the picture)

It's about the father-son relation. Not in the way like in interstellar though. There is a lot about the aged astronaut and what he's going through emotionally, in his relation with his father mostly. Not in a good way. You did the right thing to leave, no matter why you did so.

I watched Glass (2019).

Don't go by the reviews, it's definitely a watch.

Shyamalan's movies tend to be more entertaining than his reviews show. Plus I liked that character from unbreakable. Will check it out.

It's a slow-burn and low-budget, so temper your expectations.

My expectation is that the better ones are slow burn low budget. Give him lots of money for effects, a la Avatar, and he sucks. Give him Mel Gibson, Joachim Phoenix and a roll of tinfoil and you get cinematic brilliance. :)

Predictable but good.

Depending on who was involved, it could be a surprise.

It was the USA that won the war. We single handed beat the Central Powers.

Knock Knock.
Stupid porn, dressed in as a horror movie.
Got a good song out of it. If made right, could have been a good movie.
Keanu movie. You know, hit and miss pretty much.

Indeed, John Wayne handled the second helping by himself.
