not sure if Kung Fury counts as a movie but that was the last one. otherwise some goodies from sen sei Hajao Mijazaki or sen sei Akira Kurosawa and also sen sei Jim Jarmush.

Annihilation (2018)

It's on Amazon Prime. Visually, a masterpiece. The story, while compelling, is quite ambiguous.

OUTSTANDING horror movie. Straight out of Goetia. Best horror film I've seen in years.

I liked that, at least in the trailer, they weren't going for cheap "made you flinch" antics.

But I'm still waiting for a Tivo-esque device to make digital entertainment a viable option (for me). I'm really enjoying that I can put down a book at any moment for any length of time and still have it conveniently accessible without concerns about it disappearing or suddenly becoming inaccessible.

It does look good. I've liked Joaquin in everything I've seen him do. It might be interesting to see how they address the age issue.
