i'm getting the following error trying to get through stage1 install:
Code: | programs/ld-collate.c: in function 'collate_output':

/etc/make.conf had the following changes:
Code: | USE="-kde -arts -gnome oss dvd pcmcia perl"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -malign-functions=0 -malign-jumps=0 -malign-loops=0"
CXXFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -malign-functions=0 -malign-jumps=0 -malign-loops=0" |
(the flags are for a transmeta crusoe)
i've tried some variations on the CFLAGS flags, but glibc keeps failing. thanks in advance for any pointers. |

I'm having this problem as well. I'm also using a Crusoe (Fujitsu Lifebook 2040).
Are we the only two with the problem? |

Perhaps the Crusoe isn't compatible with i686. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

Prior to the r7 update of glibc, it worked just fine. The Crusoe is (well, should be) entirely i686 compatible.
I currently have glibc-2.2.5-r5 installed. However, I can't even remerge that version now.. |
