With the move to kde5, in particular on the application side, I find that some things work really well but a few bugs are quite annoying. And it seems that those bugs, mostly related to KIO, wait to be fixed for years. Specifically, these to are bothering me most:
357171
343452
For the latter one, even a patch as been provided by a user but that patch is not being reviewed for many months. It seems to me that David Faure is assigned to most of the KIO stuff. He has like 210 confirmed open bugs, most of them from recent times:
confirmed and open bugs
I can understand very well if people have shifting priorities and invest less time in a project where they don't even earn money. I am just wondering if anyone knows if KDE has a strategy to deal with such bottle necks or if we need to wait for the guy to find some time for these fixes. |
