|
|
I just newly [/glsa]installed Gentoo stable and noticed when displaying Google Map in Firefox the xorg-server hangs.
The same happens with an updated Gentoo stable on a different drive.
- openrc-0.23.2
- x11-base/xorg-server-1.18.4
- xf86-video-nouveau-1.0.12
- xfce-base/xfce4-meta-4.12
- www-client/firefox-45.7.0
FIX: Downgrade openrc-0.23.2 to openrc-0.22.4 or lower without systemd tempfiles.
Problem seems to be connected with sysemd tempfiles.

Nothing in dmesg. A error was indicated in the Xorg.0.log indicating there was a Segmentation fault at address 0x0. Login via ssh was OK.
I mark it SOLVED |

Sometimes, something "before" will hang and throw the xorg into a segfault after or vice versa, then that would appear in dmesg. One time ago I had the same problem with a specific website, but I never came to any conclusion about it. |
