[Solved] KDE Plasma profile and no Desktop

Hi,

during the installation process, I opted for the KDE Plsma profile, and the kernelgen. Upon boot, I keep getting to the root screen. Is there anything else I have to enable, or am I doing something wrong (as I tend to believe)?

You need to add the display manager service to the default runlevel.

Yes, of course...I knew it was me...thanks. Let's see if I can get it to work

no luck...when I try to emerge "emerge --ask x11-misc/sddm I have a bunch of errors, one form the /etc/make.conf file (line 21: No closing quotation), that is the line imported when I chose a few mirrors to download the kernel; then a bunch of errors regarding the file "/usr/lib/python-exec/python3.4/emerge" and in "/usr/lib64/python3.4 site, and some others relating to python files, which I never touched. Why all these errors? I am just trying to understand why I get all these error messages...

the last time I installed Gentoo, I chose the no DE profile, and I installed the DE after, and I never had these many errors...
